  Job Description

  Duties:

  Input accurate patient demographic details (full name, date of birth, address, contact details, social security/national ID numbers) into electronic health record (EHR) or medical billing platforms.

  Enter primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance policy details, subscriber numbers, group numbers, and claim mailing addresses from insurance cards.

  Review medical charts and registration documents for missing, incomplete, or illegible patient and insurance information before claim generation.

  Cross-reference demographic data with insurance portal verification systems to ensure subscriber details match policy records.

  Identify data errors, address discrepancies, or eligibility conflicts and flag records for the front-desk or registration team for correction.

  Meet daily production benchmarks while maintaining a high accuracy rate to support seamless charge entry and claim submission.

  Strict adherence to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) rules, patient privacy standards, and company data security protocols

   

  Focus Skills:

  Hands-on experience in medical demographics entry, medical billing, or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) back-office operations.

  Proficiency in medical billing software and EHR systems.

  Excellent typing speed and high numeric 10-key data entry accuracy.

  Basic understanding of US healthcare insurance types (PPO, HMO, Medicare, Medicaid) and medical billing workflows.

  High attention to detail, error-detection capability, and strong organizational skills
