  Responsibilities:

  Draft, modify, and finalize detailed 2D engineering drawings, fabrication layouts, assembly blueprints, and exploded views using AutoCAD.

  Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles, material specifications, surface finish symbols, and weld notes according to international standards (ISO/ASME).

  Collaborate with tooling, sheet metal, machining, and casting teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).

  Prepare, update, and manage Bill of Materials (BOM), engineering change orders (ECO), and component specification sheets in ERP/PLM systems.

  Perform dimensional tolerance stack-up analysis and verification checks on existing drawings to eliminate assembly fitment issues on the shop floor.

  Conduct field measurements and physical reverse engineering of existing machinery components to digitize accurate 2D CAD models and drawings.

  Maintain organized drawing archives, standard block libraries, title blocks, and version-controlled design repositories in accordance with company quality standards

   

  Required Skills: 

  Advanced proficiency in 2D AutoCAD software, computer-aided drafting techniques, and drawing management.

  Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), blueprint reading, tolerance stack-up analysis, and mechanical design principles.

  Practical understanding of core manufacturing processes (sheet metal fabrication, machining, stamping, casting, welding, and injection molding).

  Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, ERP software integration, and Engineering Change Order (ECO) workflows.

  High attention to detail, strong spatial reasoning, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional communication abilities
