  Job Description

  The Quality Supervisor in Manufacturing Industries is responsible for supervising daily shop-floor quality inspection routines, leading the quality technician/inspector team, and enforcing quality assurance protocols across all operational shifts. Acting as the operational link between plant quality management, shop-floor production supervisors, and engineering teams, this role monitors product compliance, manages real-time containment actions for defective parts, oversees scrap/rework reduction drives, and ensures that all measurement equipment, incoming materials, and finished goods meet engineering specifications and customer standards

   

  Key Duties

  To guarantee constant quality coverage on production lines, oversee, educate, and assign Quality Inspectors and Technicians during operational shifts.

  To ensure adherence to engineering drawings and GD&T standards, keep an eye on the final inspection, in-process quality gates (IPQC), and incoming material inspection.

  Manage line re-clearances, issue shop-floor Stop Production Notices when out-of-spec circumstances arise, oversee urgent containment measures, and quarantine non-conforming goods.

  Oversee preliminary failure investigations and assist Quality Engineers with 5-Why analysis, 8D Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective and Preventive Action implementation.

  During daily production review meetings, monitor and report important shop-floor quality parameters, such as Scrap Rate, First Pass Yield, Customer Returns, and Defect-PPM levels.

  Make that all tools are validated and within calibration intervals by supervising the calibration schedules for shop-floor gauges, handheld precision tools, and testing apparatus.
