  Responsibilities:

  Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes, line layouts, and workflow sequences to improve throughput, reduce cycle times, and eliminate non-value-added steps.

  Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), and Control Plans.

  Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, Single-Minute Exchange of Die - SMED) and line balancing techniques.

  Lead root-cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram) for line stoppages, quality rejections, process variations, and equipment downtime.

  Collaborate with maintenance and tooling teams to conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and plan Preventive/Autonomous Maintenance routines.

  Monitor key manufacturing metrics, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), scrap percentage, first-pass yield, and labor productivity.

  Assist in new product introduction (NPI), process validation, pilot runs, and shop-floor tooling/jig design verification

   

  Required Skills: 

  Strong technical background in core manufacturing operations (machining, sheet metal, stamping, welding, casting, or assembly automation).

  Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma tools, line balancing, cycle time analysis, and industrial safety compliance (EHS/OSHA).

  Proficiency in reading engineering blueprints, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and utilizing 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD / SolidWorks).

  Hands-on experience with quality tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC) and root-cause analytical methods.

  Proficiency in ERP/MES production modules (e.g., SAP PP, Oracle) and MS Excel for data reporting
