  Responsibilities:

  Design, create, and optimize database objects including tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and database constraints.

  Write complex, highly efficient SQL queries, CTEs, window functions, and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.

  Identify performance bottlenecks, analyze query execution plans, perform index tuning, and optimize slow-running database queries.

  Design, build, and maintain robust Data Integration and ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like SSIS, Talend, Informatica, or Python scripts.

  Implement data security controls, database backup/recovery strategies, user role permissions, and compliance with data governance standards.

  Perform database normalization, dimensional data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema), and schema refactoring to support transactional and analytical systems.

  Monitor database health, lock contention, deadlocks, and transaction log usage in collaboration with Database Administrators

   

  Required Skills: 

  Strong proficiency in relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.

  Advanced expertise in T-SQL or PL/SQL, including stored procedure development, query optimization, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis.

  Solid experience with ETL tools (SSIS, Talend, Pentaho) and data integration workflows.

  Strong understanding of data modeling principles (3NF, Dimensional Modeling), database design, and transaction isolation levels.

  Familiarity with database monitoring, profiling tools (SQL Profiler, Extended Events), and version control systems (Git) for database code
