  Job Description

  Designing, testing, integrating, and debugging electronic systems, printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), embedded hardware, and industrial instrumentation throughout automated production lines are the responsibilities of the electronics engineer in manufacturing industries. This position guarantees the best possible performance of electronic equipment, reduces component-level downtime, facilitates the commissioning of new equipment, and promotes ongoing process improvement on the shop floor by closely collaborating with cross-functional teams that include mechanical maintenance, software/firmware engineers, quality control, and plant operations.

   

  Responsibilities:

  Design, inspect, and evaluate electronic circuits, power supplies, microcontroller boards, sensor networks, and PCB layouts used in manufacturing equipment.

  Diagnose and repair complex electronic failures down to the component level (SMD/THD soldering, IC replacement, signal tracing using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers).

  Oversee calibration, testing, and maintenance of industrial electronic sensors (optical, proximity, pressure, temperature), transducers, servo drives, and measurement instruments.

  Partner with Automation and Software teams to integrate embedded systems, PLC I/O modules, communication protocols (Modbus, CAN bus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP), and edge devices.

  Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on electronic equipment failures, component burnouts, and signal interference, implementing long-term design or shielding countermeasures.

  Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), test protocols, and preventive maintenance routines for high-precision electronic equipment and testing fixtures.

  Enforce compliance with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) safety protocols, international electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards, and statutory plant safety policies

   

  Skills:

  strong background in circuit simulation, component-level debugging, and analogue and digital electronics design.

  practical familiarity with electronic lab apparatus, including ESD workstations, digital storage oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, and spectrum analysers.

  understanding of microcontrollers, schematic capture software (Altium Designer, KiCAD, Eagle), and PCB design techniques.

  knowledge of industrial sensor interfaces and industrial communication standards.

  knowledge of IPC assembly standards, preventative maintenance software, and quality management systems
