• Mold Setter Keeping Injection Production Running

  Job Description

  Who you are:  

  Safely align, mount, and clamp injection molds onto machines using torque tools, hydraulic clamps, or magnetic platens. Connect and verify cooling water lines, chillers, Mold Temperature Control (MTC) units, hydraulic core pulls, hot runner cables, and air blow circuits. Set mechanical ejector stops, verify Low-Pressure Mold Protection (LPMP) limits, execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and assist during material purging and trial shots. Safely operate overhead bridge cranes, hoists, and eyebolts during tool transportation, loading, and unloading. Record mold changeover durations, setup delay causes, maintenance issues, and trial clearance status using daily tracking logsheets and spreadsheets.
