  Job Description

  The Production Manager in Manufacturing Industries is responsible for leading end-to-end plant manufacturing operations, ensuring high-volume, on-time, and cost-effective production in full compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards. Working closely with executive leadership, Production Planning & Control (PPC), Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams, this role oversees plant production strategies, manages multi-shift workforces and department heads, optimizes resource allocation, drives continuous improvement (Lean/TPM), and ensures production targets align with overall profitability and corporate objectives.

   

  Key Duties

  Manage your entire factory production operations by converting sales forecasts and master production schedules into actionable daily, weekly, and monthly operating plans.

  Manages, coaches, and evaluates process engineers, supervisors, line supervisors, and shop floor technicians to foster a high-performance, safety-focused manufacturing culture. 

  Monitor key plant operational metrics, including overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), line efficiency, scrap/rework rates, mean time between failures (MTBF), and labor efficiency, taking proactive corrective action to eliminate operational bottlenecks.

  Lead cross-functional plant initiatives with Quality Assurance and Maintenance to ensure strict adherence to quality management systems, CAPA 8D and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs. 

  Introducing lean manufacturing methodologies, state-of-the-art value stream mapping (VSM), 5S workplace organization, Kaizen principles, SMED, and process waste reduction on all production lines.

  Manage production department budgets, track manufacturing cost variances, manage overtime costs, and optimize material usage to maximize operating profits. 

  Oversee Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance in the workshop, ensuring compliance with safe working standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols, risk assessments, and statutory employment regulations.
