  Who you are: 

  Strictly follow engineering drawings and Quality Control Plans (QCP) when conducting physical, visual, and dimensional inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and completed goods. Vernier callipers, micrometres, height gauges, dial indicators, bore gauges, plug/thread gauges, surface roughness testers, and profile projectors are examples of precision inspection instruments that can be used to measure components. Before authorising production runs, do dimensional checks and clearance sign-offs on the first "first-off" sample components after tool modifications, setup adjustments, or shift start-ups. Identify, tag (Red Tag/Hold Tag), quarantine, and record non-conforming materials; create Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and keep an eye on rework stations to stop defects from getting worse.
