  Job Description

  The Quality Manager in Manufacturing Industries is responsible for establishing, leading, and continuous enhancement of the plant's Quality Management System (QMS), quality control operations, supplier quality management, and customer satisfaction programs. Serving as the primary executive authority for plant quality, this role leads a team of Quality Engineers, Supervisors, and Technicians, aligns quality assurance policies with organizational goals, ensures strict regulatory and certification compliance, and drives plant-wide continuous improvement initiatives to achieve zero-defect manufacturing

   

  Responsibilities:

  Formulate, communicate, and execute strategic quality assurance policies, targets, and quality control frameworks across all plant operational units.

  Direct the maintenance, auditing, and upgrading of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO, IATF, AS, and customer-specific standards.

  Lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives for critical customer complaints, managing high-priority 8D investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and executive CAPA reporting.

  Oversee Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) deliverables for all New Product Introductions (NPI) and engineering changes.

  Direct Supplier Quality Management strategies, including vendor evaluations, supplier audits, SCAR processing, and incoming material quality standards.

  Manage plant-wide Quality Metrics and KPIs and report performance directly to plant leadership and corporate executive teams.

  Manage the quality department budget, metrology lab operations, advanced CMM testing resources, and gauge calibration systems.

  Lead Lean Six Sigma drives, Kaizen events, 5S campaigns, and employee quality training programs to build a proactive zero-defect culture across shop-floor teams

   

  Skills:

  demonstrated leadership abilities in overseeing QMS certifications, managing plant quality teams, and managing manufacturing quality assurance and control activities.

  profound knowledge of quality management systems and thorough proficiency with quality core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).

  Strong executive communication, negotiating, and relationship management skills for dealing with suppliers, regulatory auditors, and important customer executives.

  Proficiency in Advanced Approaches to Problem Solving (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram, DMAIC, Shainin/Red X methods).

  Advanced proficiency with GD&T (ASME Y14.5), statistical process analysis, metrology principles, and complicated engineering drawings
