  Responsibilities:

  Plan, monitor, and optimize daily production processes, line balancing, machine utilization, and manpower deployment across shop-floor operations.

  Develop, standardize, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Work Instructions (SWI), line layouts, and process routing sheets.

  Lead cycle-time studies, line balancing, and motion analysis (MOST/MTM) to identify process bottlenecks, eliminate non-value-added activities, and increase throughput.

  Partner with Tool Room and Design teams to implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and poka-yoke solutions on assembly tools and fixtures.

  Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), and Kanbans to reduce shop-floor waste and lead times.

  Investigate production downtime, line stoppages, and component non-conformances alongside Quality and Maintenance teams, executing 8D Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA.

  Track, analyze, and report key manufacturing operational metrics including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Line Yield, Scrap Rate, and Labor Productivity to plant leadership

   

  Required Skills: 

  Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, assembly lines, sheet metal fabrication, welding, casting, plastic molding).

  Hands-on proficiency with Lean Manufacturing tools, line balancing, time and motion studies, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen/SMED).

  Deep understanding of shop-floor technical documentation, engineering drawings, process flow charts, PFMEA, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

  Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for line layout design and fixture modifications, along with MS Office/Excel for productivity tracking.

  Excellent leadership, time-management, and cross-functional coordination skills to work effectively with shift operators and department leads
