  Job Description

  Duties:

  Backend Microservices & API Development: Use FastAPI, Django, Flask, and AsyncIO to design, develop, and implement high-throughput backend services, web applications, and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.

  Asynchronous Systems & Data Processing: For large computational workloads, create and manage event-driven systems and asynchronous background processing queues utilising Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ, or Apache Kafka.

  Design scalable relational database schemas (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL datastores (MongoDB, Redis); optimise intricate SQL queries, database indexing, and ORM abstractions.

  Code Quality & Test Automation: Use PyTest, Unittest, and Mock frameworks to maintain high automated test coverage, enforce PEP 8 coding standards, and take part in peer code reviews.

  Performance tuning and cloud integration: Find and fix memory leaks, high latency, and application bottlenecks; use Docker containers and serverless functions to integrate backend services with cloud platforms.

   

  Focus Skills:

  Python Language Mastery & Fundamentals: In-depth knowledge of Python 3.8+, functional and object-oriented programming, meta-programming, type hinting, generators, decorators, and concurrency.

  Framework Proficiency: Practical expertise utilising Flask, Django, or FastAPI to create production web apps and APIs.

  Database & ORM Systems: Excellent knowledge of query execution plan analysis, caching techniques (Redis, Memcached), relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), and ORMs (SQLAlchemy, Django ORM).

  Distributed Systems & Task Queues: Mastery of microservice integration techniques, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Celery for asynchronous task execution.
