  Responsibilities:

  Plant Electrical Power Distribution & Engineering: To guarantee good power factor and a steady supply of plant power, supervise the high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) power distribution networks, sub-stations, transformers, switchgear (ACB, VCB), diesel generators (DG sets), and capacitor banks.

  Electrical Troubleshooting & Equipment Maintenance: To reduce unscheduled downtime, identify and fix electrical problems with automated machinery, motors, motor control centers (MCC), variable frequency drives (VFD), control panels, and electrical utility systems.

  Execution of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: To avoid catastrophic electrical failures, carry out planned electrical preventive maintenance (PM) procedures, thermography surveys, insulation resistance (Megger) tests, and earth pit resistance checks

  Electrical Design, Modifications, and Projects: For new equipment installs, capacity expansions, and facility modernisation projects, create electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), cable sizing calculations, and panel layouts.

   

  Required Skills: 

  Expert technical knowledge of HT/LT power systems, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, power factor correction, and motor drive systems is required for mastery of industrial electrical systems and power distribution.

  Control Systems, VFDs, and Schematic Interpretation: Knowledge of electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), relay logic, control panel wiring, VFD parameter troubleshooting, and fundamental PLC interlocks.

  Electrical Diagnostics & Preventive Maintenance: practical knowledge of earth loop impedance testing, thermography analysis, insulation testing, breaker testing, and predictive maintenance equipment.

  Strong knowledge of national and international electrical safety codes, legal requirements, lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols, and electrical hazard mitigation.

   

  Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
