  Position Summary
  
  The Electrical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring reliable operation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement of automated assembly machines and production equipment. The role focuses on minimizing machine downtime, improving machine reliability, supporting production operations, and ensuring safe maintenance practices across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, HMI, servo, robotic, and vision systems.
  
  
  Key Responsibilities
  
  1. Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  
  Ensure minimum machine downtime and quick restoration during breakdowns.
  Analyze recurring machine failures and implement effective corrective actions.
  Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, HMI, servo, robot, and vision system-related faults.
  Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of automated assembly machines.
  Diagnose faults using multi meters, clamp meters, electrical drawings, and troubleshooting tools.
  Ensure proper functioning of sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, servo drives, motors, and control systems.
  Carry out machine inspection and identify abnormal machine conditions before failure occurs.
  Coordinate with production teams during emergency breakdown situations.
  
  2. Shift Operation Support & Shift Handover
  
  Monitor machine performance during shift operations.
  Support production during machine setup, changeover, and line balancing activities.
  Arrange relevant technical support during machine breakdowns.
  Provide detailed shift handover regarding:
  Machine condition
  Ongoing breakdowns
  Pending maintenance activities
  Temporary fixes and bypasses
  Alarm history and abnormalities
  Update preventive maintenance completion and pending activities.
  Inform incoming shift about safety concerns, permits, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) status.
  
  3. Electrical & Automation Maintenance
  
  Maintain and troubleshoot:
  Mitsubishi PLC
  Proface HMI
  Servo Drives & Motors
  Industrial Robots
  Vision Systems
  VFDs and Electrical Panels
  Ensure proper PLC interlocks and safety circuits functionality.
  Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and machine schematics.
  Maintain machine wiring systems and electrical control panels.
  Support machine parameter backup and restoration activities.
  Ensure safe operation of automation systems and electrical equipment.
  
  4. Mechanical & Pneumatic Maintenance Support
  
  Maintain conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic cylinders, valves, and robotic assemblies.
  Perform lubrication, tightening, alignment, and replacement activities.
  Ensure smooth functioning of fixtures and moving assemblies.
  Support machine accuracy and operational stability.
  
  5. Safety & Compliance
  
  Ensure maintenance activities comply with company safety standards and procedures.
  Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance activities.
  Ensure safe maintenance practices for both human and machine safety.
  Maintain housekeeping standards in maintenance work areas.
  Support safety audits and compliance activities.
  
  6. Spare Parts & Inventory Management
  
  Maintain maintenance tools and equipment in proper working condition.
  Monitor availability of critical machine spares.
  Update spare parts consumption records.
  Coordinate with stores and procurement for spare parts availability.
  Support inventory optimization for maintenance consumables and critical components.
  
  7. Documentation & Reporting
  
  Prepare daily maintenance and machine breakdown reports.
  Record machine history, downtime, corrective actions, and root cause analysis.
  Maintain:
  PM Checklists
  Maintenance Logs
  Machine History Cards
  Shift Reports
  Breakdown Registers
  Escalate unresolved critical issues to higher management when required.
  Maintain proper maintenance documentation as per audit requirements.
  
  8. Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
  
  Suggest machine modifications to improve reliability and productivity.
  Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  Participate in breakdown reduction and downtime improvement projects.
