Job Description :
Maintenance Engineer Equipment Inventory Control
Job Description
The Maintenance Engineer in Manufacturing Industries is responsible for ensuring maximum operational reliability, availability, and safety of shop-floor machinery, production equipment, and plant utilities. Working closely with production planning (PPC), tool room, quality, and plant safety teams, this role executes preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, performs swift root cause troubleshooting during equipment breakdowns, manages spare parts inventory, and drives Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs to optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and eliminate downtime.
Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and monitor preventive (PM), predictive (PdM), and breakdown maintenance across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation equipment.
Diagnose complex machine breakdowns rapidly using root cause failure analysis (RCFA), implementing permanent engineering countermeasures to minimize mean time to repair (MTTR) and extend mean time between failures (MTBF).
Oversee and maintain plant utility equipment, including industrial air compressors, cooling towers, boilers, HVAC systems, transformers, sub-stations, and water treatment infrastructure.
Implement condition monitoring routines such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil condition checks to identify potential equipment degradation before catastrophic failures occur.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems to log work orders, maintain equipment history, track spare usage, and monitor key plant reliability metrics.
Maintain optimum store levels of critical machine spare parts, electrical items, hydraulic valves, seals, and bearings to minimize repair turnaround times while controlling inventory costs.
Ensure strict compliance with shop-floor Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, electrical safety protocols, and statutory machinery regulations
Skills:
practical technical proficiency in troubleshooting electrical control panels, mechanical assembly, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, VFDs, and PLCs (Siemens, Fanuc, Allen-Bradley).
thorough knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance, RCFA methods, OEE calculations, and the pillars of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
proficiency with MS Office and CMMS tools (SAP PM, Fiix, UpKeep) for downtime data analysis and maintenance records.
the capacity to read and comprehend intricate mechanical assembly drawings, hydraulic/pneumatic circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics.
Outstanding communication, teamwork, and analytical problem-solving abilities across operating shifts
We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity!
