  Your Duties:

  Demographic and Charge Entry Processing: Correctly input patient demographics, insurance information, and diagnostic/procedural codes from encounter forms, superbills, or EHR interfaces into medical billing systems.

  Charge Validation & Coding Scrutiny: To avoid billing errors, compare input charges to provider guidelines, medical price schedules, National Correct Coding Initiative modifications, and insurance billing regulations.

  Clearinghouse Scrubbing & Error Correction: Before sending the final claim, review and fix front-end claim denials and clearinghouse scrub problems.

  Timely Filing & Charge Lag Optimisation: Keep an eye on charge entry queues every day to make sure that all clinical encounters are completed within payer timely filing restrictions and client-specified charge lag windows.

  Batch Reconciliation & Balancing: To ensure that 100% of patient interactions are billed with no uncaptured charges, reconcile daily entered charge totals against provider encounter records and appointment schedules.
