  The Mold Setter in Injection Moulding Industries Tool Changeover, Machine Setup, Parameter Optimization, Shop-Floor Safety & Operations Analytics Specialist serves as the primary "Tool Mounting Lead, Injection Moulding Setup Specialist, Changeover Optimization Guardian, Process Parameter Verification Specialist & Shop-Floor Safety Lead" across our plastic manufacturing operations. While Plant Heads, Tool Room Managers, Production Managers, and Process Engineers establish macro production schedules, tool maintenance plans, and cycle time targets, your primary mission is to safely, accurately, and efficiently perform mold changeovers, clamp tooling onto injection moulding machines, execute hydraulic/pneumatic/water utility connections, and assist with initial shot setups

   

  Key Skills: 

  Injection Moulding Tool Setting & SMED Mastery: In-depth practical knowledge of clamping pressures, tool alignment strategies, mould mounting processes, SMED setup optimisation, and horizontal/vertical injection moulding machine operation.

  Auxiliary Systems & Utility Hookups: Thorough understanding of hot runner wiring, core-pull hydraulic sequences, MTC setup, chiller line balancing, mould cooling circuits and pneumatic system connections.

  Rigging, Lifting, and Mould Handling Safety: The ability to operate gantry hoists, overhead bridge cranes, chain slings, eyebolt inspection, and safe mould transportation methods.

  Tool Inspection & Machine Safeguarding: Capacity to check guide bushes, mould parting lines, core/cavity surfaces, mechanical interlocks, ejector tie-ins and low-pressure mould protection guards.

   

  Experience: 3 to 6 yrs

  Location: in and Around Chennai

  Salary: Based on Previous Work Experience
