  Job Description

  The Demo Entry Executive (Medical Billing) (Demographics Entry Executive) is responsible for capturing, validating, and entering patient demographic, insurance, and guarantor information within Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) workflows. Serving as the critical front-end gateway of the billing process, this role verifies insurance coverage, checks active eligibility, verifies pre-authorization requirements, and registers accurate patient records into practice management systems to prevent registration-based claim rejections and ensure clean claim generation down the line.

   

  Responsibilities

  Demographic Capture & Registration: Review face sheets, patient registration forms, hospital admission records, and EHR data to accurately enter patient personal details, contact information, guarantor data, and employment details into billing systems.

  Insurance Eligibility & Policy Verification: Verify primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance coverage, policy numbers, group numbers, coverage effective dates, co-pay amounts, deductible status, and rendering/billing provider network status using payor portals and clearinghouse tools.

  Pre-Authorization & Referral Validation: Cross-check medical orders to confirm required pre-authorizations, referrals, and precertifications are obtained and correctly linked to the patient file prior to charge creation.

  Master Patient Index (MPI) Maintenance: Identify and merge duplicate patient accounts, correct misspelled patient names or date-of-birth errors, and maintain strict data accuracy across EHR/PMS databases.

  RCM Front-End Analytics & Tracking: Log daily registration volumes, eligibility error rates, returned face sheet queries, turnaround times (TAT), and front-end rejection trends using operational tracking spreadsheets

   

  Skills:

  Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management, Life Sciences, Commerce, Business Administration (BBA), Computer Applications (BCA), Arts (B.A.), or equivalent healthcare diploma.

  Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in patient demographic entry, insurance eligibility verification, or front-end patient registration within the U.S. Healthcare Medical Billing / RCM environment.

  Technical Mastery: U.S. Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), Medical Billing Systems (eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD, Kareo, Brightree, Epic, NextGen), Clearinghouse Portals (Availity, Waystar, Change Healthcare), HIPAA compliance rules, and Excel data tracking
