  Job Description:

  Responsibilities:

  Patient Demographic & Insurance Data Entry: Accurately enter patient personal information, contact details, guarantor information, group numbers, main, secondary and tertiary insurance policy numbers, and claim mailing addresses into medical practice management systems.

  Insurance Eligibility & Coverage Verification: When creating a record, use clearinghouses or payer portals to confirm the patient's insurance active status, coverage effective dates, copay/deductible amounts, and pre-authorization criteria.

  Front-End Error Prevention & Rejection Audit: Examine incoming patient charts for missing, unclear, or contradicting insurance and demographic data; note any inconsistencies and work with medical front-office personnel to get complete records prior to billing.

  Insurance Plan Code & Payer Mapping: Make sure claims are sent to the right clearinghouse IDs and billing locations by accurately mapping insurance coverage to internal payer financial classes and plan codes.

   

  Experience: 0 to 3 yrs

  Education: Any Basic Degree
