  Responsibilities:

  Backend & API Development: Using contemporary Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django, or Flask), design, create, test, and maintain high-performance backend applications and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.

  Database Integration & ORM Management: Create effective database queries, create data models, and integrate relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases using Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) tools (SQLAlchemy, Django ORM).

  Automation & Data Pipeline Engineering: To handle high-volume asynchronous jobs, provide scalable data processing pipelines, web scrapers, task queues (Celery, Redis), and background automation scripts.

  Code Optimisation & System Performance: To reduce API latency and increase backend throughput, profile application code, optimise memory consumption, rework legacy codebases, and apply caching techniques.

  Testing, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) & Deployment Support: Create unit, integration, and functional tests (pytest, unittest), make sure that test coverage is high, and incorporate code into CI/CD pipelines.

   

  Required Skills: 

  Advanced Python Programming & Ecosystem Mastery: Comprehensive knowledge of PEP 8 standards, functional paradigms, data structures, generators, decorators, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and core Python (Python 3.x).

  Framework & API Architecture Expertise: Practical experience building microservices and scalable APIs with web frameworks like Flask, Django REST Framework (DRF), and FastAPI.

  Strong familiarity with SQL databases, ORMs (SQLAlchemy), distributed task queues (Celery with Redis/RabbitMQ), and async programming (asyncio).

  Software Testing & Version Control: Knowledge of Docker containerisation, Git, mock objects, unit testing frameworks (pytest, unittest), and basic CI/CD pipeline automation.
