  Responsibilities:

  2D/3D CAD Drafting & Manufacturing Drawings: Using AutoCAD and SolidWorks/Inventor, create comprehensive 2D production drawings, component layouts, assembly drawings, and 3D CAD models in accordance with industry standards.

  GD&T Application & Tolerance Analysis: Ensure correct fit, form, and function for manufacturing and assembly by applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to component designs and computing stack-up tolerance.

  BOM & Technical Documentation: For production release, create and keep up-to-date comprehensive multi-level Bills of Materials, raw material specifications, hardware callouts, and manufacturing process notes.

  ECO management includes updating legacy drawings, keeping stringent revision history logs, processing Engineering Change Notices and ECOs effectively, and archiving out-of-date design files.

  Shop-Floor & Tooling Design Support: Work closely with the production, tooling, and quality teams to address manufacturing design questions, create basic jigs and fixtures, and optimize parts for assembly and manufacturability.

   

  Required Skills: 

  AutoCAD & CAD Modelling Mastery: Working understanding of 3D parametric CAD modelling software (SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor), dynamic blocks, layer management, sheet sets, and AutoCAD 2D/3D drafting.

  Mechanical Design & Fabrication Knowledge: Excellent comprehension of material qualities and production processes (machining, sheet metal development, welding/fabrication, injection moulding, casting).

  GD&T & Tolerance Stack-Up: Expertise in surface finish callouts, fit designations, tolerance stack-up analysis, and ASME Y14.5 GD&T symbols.

  DFMA & BOM Engineering: A practical grasp of ERP/PLM BOM structures, standard fastener selection, and Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA).

   

  Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
