  Responsibilities:

  High-voltage and low-voltage (HT/LT) power distribution systems, transformers, switchgear (ACB/VCB), motor control centers (MCC), distribution boards, and DG synchronisation panels are all part of electrical power distribution and substation oversight.

  PLC/SCADA Automation & Drive Commissioning: To maximise automated production processes and equipment control loops, program, diagnose, and troubleshoot PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider), SCADA/HMI systems, VFDs, and servo drives.

  Planning and overseeing the daily, weekly, and monthly electrical preventive maintenance (PM) procedures, thermography inspections, insulation resistance testing (Megger), and transformer oil testing are examples of preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance execution.

  Energy Optimisation & Power Quality Management: To optimise utility usage and save electricity costs, monitor plant power factor, assess load demands, implement harmonic mitigation, and oversee energy-saving capital projects.

  Electrical Safety, Regulatory Compliance, and ECNs: Enforce arc flash protocols, statutory electrical inspectorate standards, workplace lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and process Engineering Change Notices (ECN) for electrical schematics.

   

  Required Skills: 

  Power Systems & Switchgear Engineering: Extensive technical expertise in transformer maintenance, circuit breakers, power factor correction panels (APFC), protection relay testing, cable size, and HT/LT distribution networks.

  Industrial Automation & Instrumentation: Practical expertise in sensor integration, VFD parameter tuning, SCADA control systems, PLC programming and diagnostics, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).

  Electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring schematics, ladder logic, and the use of diagnostic tools (power quality analysers, insulation testers, multimeters, thermal cameras) are all examples of electrical schematics and diagnostic tool literacy.

  Industrial Safety & Code Compliance: Extensive understanding of plant safety standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO) systems, National Electrical Code (NEC/IEEE recommendations), and statutory electrical laws.
