  Job Description

  Who you are: 

  Set up CNC machines according to process sheets, technical drawings, setup documents, and tool layouts. Install, align, and secure workpiece holding devices (chucks, collets, jaws, jigs, tailstocks, stable glass). Load, install, and index cutting tools, inserts, holders, and boring bars into turrets or magazines. Measure and enter the tool height and length offsets. Load G-code and M-code programs into the CNC controller, check for correct code order, and perform dry runs and individual block executions. Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) on sample parts using precision measurement equipment (CMMs, micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) and verify part dimensions against technical drawings. Precisely adjust cutting speed, feed, coolant flow, and coordinate offsets (G54 to G59) to optimize cycle time, surface quality, and tool life. Resolve configuration and sizing issues during production transfers, train operators to monitor equipment, and ensure compliance with workplace safety policies and 5S standards.
