• ARC Welder ITI Welder & Fabrication Specialist

  Job Description

  The "Structural Anchor" and "Material Fusion Expert" of our production facility is the ARC Welder. Your main task is to manually fuse heavy steel plates, pipeline channels, structural beams and precision tooling assemblies to permanently join raw metal parts into high-strength, load-bearing industrial equipment while production engineers create assembly line sequences and electronics teams set up micro-circuits. As the "Guardian of Weld Joint Integrity, Strict Blueprint Tolerances, and Industrial Radiographic Testing (RT) Quality Standards," you directly oversee the execution of multi-pass weld beads, base metal joint preparation, welding current adjustments, and penetration profile checks.

   

  Responsibilities

  Precision SMAW/MMAW Execution: To join carbon steel, stainless steel, and low-alloy structural plates in all places, set up and run shielded metal arc welding equipment.

  Blueprint Translation & Joint Preparation: To measure, bevel, grind, and pre-heat joints in accordance with Welding Procedure Specifications, read and interpret heavy fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and structural blueprints.

  Thermal Parameter Control: Based on material thickness and joint geometry, choose the proper welding electrodes and adjust the voltage and amperage settings on inverter equipment.

  Multi-Pass WeldLayering: To avoid internal flaws, perform perfect root passes, hot passes, fill passes, and final cap beads while carefully cleaning slag with chipping hammers and wire wheels in between runs.

  Nondestructive Quality Assurance: Make that all produced joints are prepared to pass liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, or ultrasonic testing by visually inspecting completed welds for profile uniformity, throat depth, and surface flaws.

  Fixture Rigging & Tack Welding: Before final fusion passes, align structural channel sections using clamps, jacks, and fixtures. Then, apply precise tack welds to lock assembly geometry.

   

  Skills:

  SMAW Machine Fleet Manipulation: Extensive practical expertise with electrode ovens, flame-cutting torches, grinding tools, and industrial constant-current welding power sources.

  Weld Symbol & Blueprint Literacy: Complete operational confidence in the interpretation of structural assembly drawings, joint fit-up dimensions, root opening metrics, and AWS/ISO welding symbols.

  Metallurgical and Consumable Knowledge: Full comprehension of electrode classification regulations, pre-heat/post-heat schedules, and steel kinds.

  Manual Precision & Coordination: Outstanding hand-eye coordination and physical stability to manage arc lengths and travel speeds in confined locations and deposit uniform, smooth weld ripples.
