Job Description :

  • Production Engineer Engineering & Industrial Production

    Job Description

The main 'production Line Anchor' and 'Assembly Efficiency Leader' in each of our production sites is the Production Engineer Shop-Floor Manufacturing, Line Efficiency & Process Optimisation. Your main goal is to drive, optimise, and streamline shop-floor production operations so that daily production targets are met with maximum efficiency, optimal line balancing, and minimal operational downtime, while Quality Engineers guarantee dimensional conformance and Maintenance Engineers maintain machinery uptime. As the "Guardian of Daily Line Output, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Takt Time Adherence, Cycle Time Optimisation, Line Balancing, and Continuous Productivity Improvement," you assume direct execution responsibility for transforming production schedules and raw engineering designs into completed goods in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.

    Responsibilities

Shop-Floor Line Operations & Target Achievement: Ensure that output targets, operational efficiency, and delivery timelines are routinely reached while upholding safety and quality standards by supervising and optimising daily production line operations throughout shifts.

Reduction in Cycle Time and Line Balancing: To remove workstation bottlenecks and increase operator utilisation, conduct line balance studies, assess work element sequences, compute Takt time versus cycle time, and apply motion-economy enhancements.

OEE Optimisation & Downtime Elimination: Monitor metrics for overall equipment effectiveness, rigorously assess the underlying reasons of line downtime, and collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to reduce idle time and changeover delays.

Standard Work & Process Documentation: To guarantee operator uniformity across all production shifts, create, maintain, and implement Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Work Combination Sheets, and visual management boards.

    Skills:

Production Operations & Line Management: Excellent operational knowledge of line balance, shift capacity utilisation, and shop-floor manufacturing processes (assembly, CNC machining, stamping, moulding, or fabrication).

Cycle Time & Work-Study Analysis: The ability to calculate line efficiency, create standard time baselines, design line layouts, and perform time-and-motion studies.

Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Tools: Useful understanding of 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Poka-Yoke design, SMED setup reduction, and OEE optimisation frameworks.

Shop-floor Problem Solving: The capacity to quickly solve line-level root cause problems (5-Why Analysis, Fishbone diagrams, 8D confinement) in order to quickly address operational disturbances and line stoppages.

We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity!
