  Job Description

  Our healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM) division's "Financial Engine" and "Revenue Integrity Anchor" is the Payment Posting Executive. Your main responsibility is to methodically log, allocate, and reconcile all incoming healthcare payments, converting raw electronic funds, paper checks, and patient receipts into clean, balanced, and audit-ready financial system accounts while medical billing teams submit claims to insurance companies and collection agents pursue outstanding balances. As the "Guardian of Cash Application Accuracy, Turnaround Time Standards, and Balance Sheet Integrity," you assume direct execution responsibility for tracking patient deductibles, submitting insurance adjustments, parsing remittance files, and addressing payment variations.

   

  Responsibilities

  High-Volume Cash & Remittance Application: Accurately enter and post incoming payments into the billing database from a variety of sources, such as Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs), paper Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and patient credit card receipts.

  Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) Auditing: Manually troubleshoot and settle any batch files that fall out of automated processes while loading, processing, and balancing automatic ERA files within the medical billing software.

  Contractual Adjustment & rejection Entry: Based on payer contract schedules, apply precise contractual adjustments, write-offs, and co-insurance lines; accurately record and log insurance rejection codes to forward denied claims to the denial management team.

  Bank Deposit Reconciliation: To guarantee a 100% matched financial trail, cross-reference daily system posting batches with real bank deposit statements to find and reconcile any cash differences.

   

  Skills:

  Financial Mathematics & Precision Data Processing: When processing intricate alphanumeric payment batches, exceptional numerical data handling abilities with a remarkable narrow margin of error are demonstrated.

  Healthcare Billing & RCM System Literacy: Complete operational confidence using ledger screens, payment entry matrices, and adjustment paths in major platforms such as Allscripts, eClinicalWorks, Epic, or comparable medical billing engines.

  Remittance Layout Literacy (EOB/ERA): Excellent comprehension of intricate insurance remittance layouts, including the ability to discern write-off parameters, deductibles, co-payments, and primary/secondary payer regulations.

  Concentration and Repetitive Task Endurance: Extensive data input cycles involving large financial ledgers require a high level of mental endurance and focus to achieve perfect correctness.
